Wish List
These are a few ideas for items we use on a regular basis.
Also, if you have any ideas that are not listed here, just email me! - Yvette, APU
- Dog Food - Kirkland (from Costco) or Maxximum (from Walmart) are the two main brands we use although we can use any type dog food. We also, when we have excess, donate to our local shelter.
- Dog Treats & Chews - Any type biscuits (MilkBone, Nutro, Blue Dog Bakery, etc.) are welcome. Puppy size biscuits are wonderful to stuff into Kong toys. We also go through the Rolled Porkskin treats and Chicken Jerky (both can be found at Costco). Watch for recalled products. Training treats are also needed!
- Dog Beds - We'd like to be able to send a bed home with each dog that goes out, but at this time we don't have enough, we'd like donations of either medium or large dog beds. Walmart and Costco has great buys on both!
- Comforters, Blankets & Towels - We use a lot of towels to clean up messes etc., and to wash or wipe down the dogs. A towel around here does not have a long life, so we are always looking for towels. Blankets are always appreciated, too!
- Dog Houses, Dogloos & Traveling Crates - Any sizes but especially Large and XL, (which we rarely find at garage sales or 2nd hand stores)
- Odor Neutralizer - We are always in need of odor neutralizers such as Simple Solution.
- Bleach for disinfecting and for laundry, and Laundry detergent (for all those towels!)
- Also: Collars, leashes, stainless steel food bowls, and stainless steel buckets.
- Gift Certificates - Gift certificates to any supplier of any of the previous items are always welcome, or you could donate gas cards, Superstore (Walmart, Target, Fred Meyer, Costco) or other gift cards, to cover basic travel and other expenses.
- Want to help? Come meet our adoptables and help out at our kennel, or you can even help us by ORGANIZING a fund raiser or adoption day event. Send us an email if you have any ideas! If you're not in our area, volunteer at your own local shelter or rescue!
- Protect Animals - Report animal cruelty and neglect, as well as injured or stray animals.
- Be a Responsible Pet Owner! Never let your dog roam free or in an unfenced yard. Keep current identification on your dog or cat at all times. Consider microchipping your pet if you have not done so already. Spay or neuter your pet. We can help you find low cost spaying and neutering and in some cases, subsidize the surgery. Email us for info.
- Monetary Needs - If you'd like to help us out financially, you may send donations to Yvette AT apawup.com or AlphaMom33 AT aol.com via PayPal. We appreciate each and every contribution!
